Hey folks, today is my spiritual birthday woo hoo!!!! On October 30th 2011 (4 years old spiritually) , in the presence of many witnesses, I made my good confession that Jesus is Lord (2 Timothy 6:12 NIV). Exactly one year ago, I wrote a blog post about how God was My great reward, and he still is, but I couldn’t help but reflect on what I’ve learned in a years time. This morning I read Mark 5, and it tugged on my heart-strings. The power of Jesus is undeniable in this chapter, and it blew me away. There are two women that I can relate to in the chapter, the Bleeding Woman, and Jairus’ daughter. Today I will only touch on the bleeding woman.
When I was about 7 years old, my mother was diagnosed with Schizophrenia, and it was hard to understand as well as deal with, to say the least. I have felt helpless, hopeless and to my shame embarrassed. I am so grateful to God for his protection, grace and mercy, because He is the only reason I have hope ( I serve an amazing God) and he loves my mother so much, as do I. However, with my mother not being able to care for me the way I know she wanted to, I had other women in my life , such as my Auntie Michelle and Sonya to raise me and teach me things that I feel every women should know.
I am not perfect!! NO where near, but I am so grateful for the women in my life, past and present, who have shared their wisdom on being a woman, to me. A lot of these things I am still working on, and I hope that I can help other women out there as well.
So I complied a list of what All women should know/do/learn before they are 30.

Three years ago to the day, I got baptized and made Jesus the Lord of my life. Undoubtedly, the best decision I have ever made. I just wanted to share what I was reading this morning, as I was on my “Spiritual Birthday Date” with God.
Psalm 40:1-3 I waited patiently for the Lord;he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit,out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in him.
As I reflected on these few verses this morning, I really thought about where I was before I truly devoted my life to God…..
I was rebounding into a new relationship! Where I pretended like I was happy and in love. I was totally faking it, faking it so much, that I actually believed I was in love and happy, holding onto this glimmer of hope; a hope of being happy.
This might be the easiest and most moisturizing face mask I have ever made. My staple mask is the Aztec Healing clay, which don’t get me wrong, I still LOVE and use once a month!! I just feel that after this mask, my face was tight and moisturizing ( that might not make sense, but trust me, that is what I felt) , and not to mention, the mask tasted great :). Any who I hope you try it, ( men can use this as well) Read More
Great post ! Super simple and easy concoction. I love natural alternatives !! Will be implementing in my house .
Thank you 🙂
If this picture is a familiar image in your home, kids licking/kissing windows, hands all over them, then those hands go in their mouth then on their food, then back in their mouths, you get the picture. Then I hope that like me you have chosen to use a chemical free window cleaner.
Chemicals are bad for the environment, we all know that. But that might not be enough of a reason to switch to chemical free house cleaners for some people. So if like me, you have small children that lick windows, roll on the floor, eat food that has been left on the ground under the table for a couple days (don’t judge me, I don’t always choose to spend my time picking up after every meal), maybe knowing that how you clean your house can affect your children, might help you make more conscious decisions with what…
